Yep, I've been hexed! I joined a couple of Hexagon groups on Face Book and have been totally addicted to making hexagon flowers for a swap on one of the groups - "Let's Get Hexied".
The other group show pictures and gives tips to the fellow hexed - "I've Been Hexed and I Like it!"
I added the Accuquilt Hexagon die to my collection, whipped through a stack of scraps in no time at all! Snagged a Creative Memories Hexagon paper punch on Ebay, punched out hexs from those "darn" subscription cards in quilt magazine, perfect weight! Grabbed my glue stick and portable sewing supplies box, then headed to the couch! OGM! - Wrong size!
Back to the sewing room, grabbed the fat-quarters, whipped them through lickty-split! OK, now head to computer to find the graph paper website and print the correct size papers, since my CM punch won't work this time! Any way cut, cut, cut, ready to sew! Stitch, stitch stitch, flowers together, envelopes addressed, off to the post office, the flowers are in the mail! Aaah oh oh! I forgot to take pictures! Oh well recipients said they will take photos for me.
Now I can start on all those little bitty hexs that were the wrong sizes, maybe little pincushions, key rings, or something. Maybe I will see if the really iddy-biddy punch is for sale any where - it does 1/2" and 3/4" papers.
Sew Happy, I am sewing!
